TRAILER: TERMINATOR GENISYS

I'm still not sure about this. The first two films in the series are genuine classics but opinions on Rise of the Machines and Salvation are mixed to say the least. Personally, I enjoyed them both. Salvation a little more than Rise though. I loved where they went with part 3 and some of the action sequences were stunning but the comedy elements really let the film down. Salvation was much darker and far more interesting but for some reason the filmmakers chose to go back to the drawing board.

The first trailer for Genisys failed to impress me, despite the presence of Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones). The effects looked dated and the storyline, though intriguing, smacked of desperation - harping back to better days. The second trailer has landed and guess what? I'm still not convinced. Especially when Arnie goes into comedy mode again. The effects do look a little more polished, it has to be said, but the trailer seems to be giving too much away. Oh, and Jai Courtney is yet to have a hit. Be warned, if you like your trailers to tease you might want to avoid clicking on the 'play' icon below.

Synopsis: After finding himself in a new time-line, Kyle Reese teams up with John Connor's mother Sarah and an ageing terminator to try and stop the one thing that the future fears, "Judgement Day".
