Based on the manga series of the same name by Go Nagai (published between October 1, 1973 to April 1, 1974), Cutie Honey is the first big-screen version since 2004. Now I feel old. There was a TV show that ran between 2007 and 2008 but we were big fans of the original movie starring Eriko Sato (Death Note).
Takeshi Asai takes the reigns on this one, with Mariya Nishiuchi slipping into the tight fitting outfit. She is joined by Takahiro Miura (Attack on Titan) and Sousuke Takaoka (13 Assassins). Cutie Honey: Tears looks to be taking itself a little more seriously than the 2004 version but who am I to judge? Check out the original movie trailer here and then see what you think of the latest tight fitting cos... trailer. Latest trailer. Obviously. Cutie Honey: Tears comes out in Japan on October 1.
